There are three storylines in the movie. The first is related to the Cyril and Methodius Brotherhood and its leaders. The second is the history of romantic relationships between Shevchenko and Princess Repnina. The third - about the fate of student Petrov, on whose account the organization was crushed, and "brothers" arrested.
