The film is based on a series of autobiographical short stories by Stas Dombrowski, a former drug addict and criminal. At 17, he learned that he had been plunged into complete self-destruction by HIV and over the next two decades. And just lying on his deathbed in a prison infirmary and knowing that he would not be there in two weeks, Stas realized that he wanted to live.
Spending most of his time either in narcotics or in a solitary confinement colony alone, he tries to defeat himself and his demons once and for all.
He must die, but suddenly, as he begins to help others, his life takes on a new meaning, and Stas pushes away from the bottom where he has fallen. Now all his new and sober life is to help others who are in his place. Stas helps a loving girl get rid of drug addiction. Will he have the strength and courage to break down?
