About the Ukrainian family, the earth, the saints and simple truths, against the background of the most revered holiday in Ukraine - Christmas.
Platon Angel is a principled surgeon who raised three sons. However, the sons split into the family because of his abhorrent, in Plato's opinion, behavior. Younger Pavlik marries a young student, for which Angel expels the young man from home. Middle Fyodor fell in love with married doctor Clave. A senior, influential official, signed a highly controversial decree for the construction of houses that Plato regarded as an unjust act. However, Plato's subsequent actions reunited and reconciled the family.
