The story of the fate of Ukrainians who were deported to Kazakhstan during Operation West in 1947. The Soviet government conducted this operation on October 21, 1947. In one day, over 76,000 people were deported from Western Ukraine. The tape also tells about those Ukrainians who were serving sentences in Karaganda camps of the Gulag as "enemies of the people".
