The motto of the Film and You Festival 2021: "Cinema that connects".
A special event of this year's film festival will be the pre-premiere screening of Villen Novak's tragicomedy "Why I'm Alive", created by the Odessa Film Studio with the support of the State Cinema.
In just 10 years of the festival, 5,600 applications were received from 36 countries. This year, applications were received in 3 categories: professionals, students, amateurs, amateurs (children's studios). In the finals of the festival, 62 works from 33 countries and 102 works from Ukraine will compete for the title of winner. In total, there are 164 works in the 5th nominations: feature films, documentaries, animated films, music videos, and a special nomination "My life in quarantine". The competition program includes works from almost all European countries, as well as the United States, Canada, China, Australia, Iran and India.
The jury of the festival included well-known figures of film and television of Ukraine, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Germany, teachers of creative universities.
Authors from Donetsk region, including Mariupol will also present their works in various nominations.
The festival program includes: solemn ceremonies, film screenings, creative meetings, master classes, seminars, art programs, promotional tours of the Azov region, recreation on the shores of the Sea of Azov.
The grand opening ceremony and the Red Carpet of the Cinema and You IFF will take place on September 2 at 6 pm on the Central Square in the village of Urzuf.
