Kharkiv MeetDocs International Film Festival of Eastern Ukraine will be held for the fifth time and this year will be held from September 26 to October 2 in a mixed online and offline format.
The opening ceremony of the anniversary festival will take place on September 26, and the award ceremony of the winners of the 2021 festival will take place on October 2. The solemn events will take place in Kharkiv in an offline format.
This year's competition program will consist of an international and national competition of full non-fiction films, and a competition of independent Ukrainian short films Meet Bardak.
The national competition will be held for the second year in a row, the members of the jury will be international experts. In the international competition, the best film will be chosen by the audience by voting on the site. Both competitions will be broadcast on the festival website for spectators from all over Ukraine. The Meet Bardak short film competition will also take place online.
In addition to the competition programs, the guests of the festival will have rich non-competition programs: feature documentaries Meet Docs and feature films Meet Non Docs, based on real stories. Films from the masters of Ukrainian documentary film Meet Retrospective, which can be viewed on the Kharkiv TV channel Simon. The industrial section of Meet Film Industry will be held in a mixed online and offline formats, and will consist of workshops, workshops, discussions and creative meetings with Ukrainian and international film industry professionals.
The festival will be supported by the Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany). Festival organizers: Media Frontline e.V., NGO "Tink Tank Ukraine".

Kharkiv MeetDocs is an international film festival of documentaries and feature films, founded in 2017, which focuses on the culture, problems and everyday life of the eastern regions of Ukraine. The festival's programs include screenings of the best films of such festivals as the Sundance Film Festival, Berlinale, Cannes International Film Festival, Oscar nominees and winners.
