The «Kinosaray» International Positive Film Festival will take place for the ninth time in the «Obyrok» art village.

The key theme of this year is flexibility of perception and action.

"Humanity is facing the challenges of pandemic, digital globalization, climate change, economy and social relations, so it is proposed to find opportunities to overcome them and look at the positive aspects," - said in a statement the organizing committee of the festival.

It is noted that the program will traditionally show the best positive films of any genre from around the world. 200 films from 45 countries have already been submitted. The works will be accepted until May 28 on the official website of the festival: https://kinosaray.com.

This year the territory of the festival has also been expanded. In addition to the traditional location of "Kinosaray" on "Obyrka", where screenings take place in the open air day and night, another one will be added. The screening of the winning films will take place in the ancient capital of Hetman Ukraine - Baturyn.

The festival contains both international and Ukrainian competition programs. There are 8 awards, specially designed for the festival by Argentine sculptor Fabian Markovich, for the best feature, documentary and animated short film of international and domestic programs.

A separate nomination - films about sustainable development. The topic of ecology is very important for the organizers of the festival, because the art hamlet "Obyrok" has been a member of the European Network of Ecovillages (GEN) for several years.

There is also a special award "For Passion and Fire", which was launched last year by Ukrainian director Yaroslav Popov in honor of his friend Leonid Kanter - a famous Ukrainian director, traveler, founder of the art farm "Obyrok", festival "Kinosaray" and many other projects.

On the eve of the new "Kinosaray" a new identity will be presented. Designer Daria Podoltseva was inspired by the atmosphere and rural nature, because the festival traditionally takes place in the open air on the farm "Obyrok".
