On 26 November, a round table “Ukraine-Kazakhstan: Opportunities for Cooperation” will be held by the Odesa International Film Festival, DzygaMDB online platform, USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine and Kazakhstan State Center for Support of National Cinema.
The round table will be attended by the general producer of the Odesa International Film Festival and member of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Film Academy Julia Sinkevych and Anna Kachko, Chief Advisor to the chairman of the board and Curator of International Strategy of Kazakhstan State Center for Support of National Cinema. They will present the capacities of each country and national industries for international partnership. Leading producers and filmmakers from Ukraine and Kazakhstan will also participate in the round table.
In addition, the authors of 6 projects (3 from Ukraine and 3 from Kazakhstan) will be able to present their ideas for co-production between these countries. Applications are accepted until 16 November. To apply please fill out the form.
The projects will be selected by the organizing committee, and the results will be announced on 20 November. After the round table, all projects will be collected into a catalog and distributed among all participants, as well as published on the DzygaMDB platform and on the website of the Kazakh Cinema: State Center for Support of National Cinema.
The round table will take place on 26 November 26 12:00 to 1:30 pm (Kyiv time). The event will be live streamed on the DzygaMDB Facebook page.
Julia Sinkevych is the general producer of the Odesa International Film Festival, as well as a member of the Supervisory Board and co-founder of the Ukrainian Film Academy, a member of the European Film Academy, the Ukrainian Association of Cinematographers and the Ukrainian Oscar Committee.
Anna Kachko is Chief Advisor to the chairman of the board and Curator of International Strategy of Kazakhstan State Center for Support of National Cinema, film producer, member of the European Film Academy.
