The online part of the festival will take place from October 26 to 29 with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
For the first time in the history of the festival, a National Competition will be held within its framework, in which non-fiction feature films made in Ukraine and in co-productions will take part. Applications will be accepted from July 2 to September 15, 2020.
The best film of the National Competition will be chosen by a professional jury, and voting for viewers will be available on the site.
There will also be an online Bardak independent short film competition for films made without state funding over the past 4 years and with a duration of up to 30 minutes.
All screenings will take place on the festival website and will be free.
For the second time, a children's social video contest will take place as part of the festival. Videos up to 3 minutes from children and teenagers from 8 to 16 years old will be allowed to participate.
The offline part will take place from October 29 to 31 with the support of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany (given the current epidemiological situation). The festival will take place in Kharkiv and will include non-competitive screenings of feature and documentary films, master classes and pitching of documentary film projects.
