Kyiv, January 18 - February 13, 2020 - Within the framework of a joint project of FILM.UA Group and StarLight Entertainment, a new large-scale format for Ukraine - an exhibition of "Cinema Magic" costumes is presented. A special feature of the event is the presentation of unique images created especially for popular Ukrainian series, films and shows.
The Magic Cinema Exhibition allows anyone to see with their own eyes what was previously available only on screen or stage.
Viewers can look behind the scenes of cinema, learn production secrets and the intricacies of craftsmanship, see what fascinated them beyond the screen. The format of the exhibition demonstrates how painstaking the work of creating the screen and stage world is, focusing on the artistic component of the film process and drawing attention to the smallest details.
The Magic Cinema Project is the result of a collaboration between two creative industries - fashion and cinema. It demonstrates what these two areas of cooperation can be, what forms they take, and what perspectives it opens.
The site features images from such large-scale projects as FILM.UA Group and StarLight Entertainment, such as:
"Loyal" is a romantic-fantasy film, filmed based on S. Andrukhovich's novel "Felix Austria", which is just now collecting full movie theaters.
Zakhar Berkut is the most anticipated film of the fall of 2019, filmed on the basis of the story by I. Franko, an international film crew from all over the world, which has garnered more than 443,000 viewers in cinemas.
"Serfdom" - one of the most successful series in 2019, which caught the attention of not only Ukrainians but also foreign viewers.
Mavka is the animated project giant of FILM.UA studio, which is expected by the millions of fans in Ukraine and abroad today.
The Stolen Princess performance is a project created on the basis of the cartoon of the same name, which became the most successful feature-length animated film of the 21st century Ukraine.
«Winterra. The Legend of the Fairy Tale Land ”is a 5D show that has been capturing Ukrainians with acrobatic tricks, dance numbers, songs and, of course, history for the first time!
Famous Ukrainian designers and costume designers created images for all of these projects: Olga Navrotskaya, Lesia Patoka, Antonina Belinska and others. Visitors to the Magic Cinema Costume Exhibition can see many sketches, paintings, posters, trailers and exclusive backstages in addition to the images themselves.
The project was realized through the partnership of two flagships in their respective fields - the FILM.UA Group, from which the project was created by FILM.UA Entertainment, and StarLight Entertainment.
“Forming a market, forming an audience, forming a habit of going to Ukrainian films is not just a task and a goal for the FILM.UA Group. This is our mission. That is why we are building the Universe goal around our projects, and the Magic Cinema Costume Exhibition is one of the important steps along the way, "- says Polina Tolmachova, PR and Marketing Director of the FILM.UA Group.
“The idea of organizing the exhibition, as is often the case, was born in Sergei Sozanovsky early last year. The idea has inspired and even infected the FILM.UA Entertainment team, because in recent years, one by one, beautiful projects have been born in the studio, for which we organize most offline events, - says Julia Sabadash, Director of FILM.UA Entertainment. - For Ukraine, such an exhibition is a unique project, there are analogues abroad, but nothing like this has happened before. And for many Ukrainians, this is a really great opportunity to dive in and learn more about the movie world, which usually seems like something closed or even privileged. It's great that now we can share our love and magic with the widest possible audience! "
In turn, Natalia Gonchar, director of StarLight Entertainment, says: “Together with the FILM.UA Group, we have decided to show our viewers (including the Winterra show on January 12) the second life of stage images and costumes, not just movies, but also theater projects. We are waiting for all connoisseurs of quality Ukrainian content in VDNG Concert Hall by February 13! "
The exhibition is open to visitors of all ages from 10:00 to 20:00 on weekends and from 12:00 to 20:00 on weekdays at VDNG, Concert Hall (Pavilion 9), 1, Academician Glushkov Ave.
