1943. In the occupied territories, the Germans are restoring their military equipment to be sent to the front. But it never reaches its destination: a group of guerrilla sappers blows up German trains halfway. To prevent them, the Nazis loaded Russian prisoners into cars. Trying to save innocent people, two sappers are killed and their commander is taken prisoner by the Germans.
