The story begins on the day of the 60th anniversary of the head of the family, professor of medicine and chief physician of the regional hospital Andriy Andriyovych Fokin, who is going on a well-deserved vacation and is waiting for the appointment of the ministry - a new chief physician. Coincidentally, on this day his eldest daughter Yulia divorced her husband Ilya Verlitsky. In the midst of the anniversary celebrations, Fedor Rakitin, a retired military doctor and former head of a mobile hospital who has served in hotspots around the world for the past twelve years, appears.
