Upon learning that his lover got on with another, the guy deserted from the army. By chance, he meets a young woman who works as a secretary for a new Ukrainian. The chief abuses his power in order to use her feminine charms. The secretary, with the help of a deserter, blackmails the boss, demanding money from him. The easy success of the scam convinces them of the possibility of impunity for fraud. However, the guy is being hunted by police, hired killers and a military enlistment office.
