History is the first. Shortly before the start of the performance, the troupe actor hanged himself right on stage. The general nervous condition is exacerbated by this news, adding to the fuss. However, life goes on, theater workers are scenery, actors are preparing for the performance. All tickets sold, full house, no one is going to cancel the performance. The dead was taken down. Everyone around almost forgot about the corpse of a colleague. In the hustle and bustle of preparation for the performance, they only deal with their problems. The police are in no hurry. Before her untimely arrival, another corpse appears on the scene – a scene worker dropped the hammer on top of another employee. The third bell rang and the audience filled the hall. The performance begins, and with it the next novella.

The story of a friend. Andriy Andreevich was very rich, he lived in a large, luxurious house. The daughter, in her misery, lived with him. Widowed, the man felt an unusual, terrible loneliness. The elderly lovelorn began to care for his daughter, trying to get her to become a mistress, cohabitant, wife. To stop her father's harassment, Masha brings her friend Alice. The old man locked the door, hid the key. New Year's Eve was crazy, unpredictable, unusual, but it brought this strange couple a sense of love, salvation from loneliness. Andriy Andreevich realized that Alice was the woman of his dreams.

Heroes Katya and Roman are locked in a strange apartment in the heart of Kiev. Under the conditions of some mystical game, they should not leave the apartment until the death of its owner, who is in a wheelchair. Prize: this apartment and about 200 thousand euros. But autumn love changes in one moment with the thought of ... AIDS.

The one who dictates the rules must die from it. Outside the window, a revolution and Roman can't leave the apartment and see through the lens what's going on. The only connection to the outside world is letters. They are thrown under the door. In one of them, the results of analyzes that both heroes gave at the beginning of the tape. With the opening of the envelope, the romance evaporates instantly. The characters find themselves alone with the problem in a confined space.

The town of Zinkiv, where people of different nationalities and denominations lived in harmony and peace in the 1950s, is in fact a paradise that was not on the map of the former USSR: in a mysterious way it simply fell out of sight of the totalitarian system. It is quietly and naturally adjacent to the Orthodox Church, the Jewish synagogue, the church and the heritage of Islam – the old Turkish fortress.

In Zink lives the main character of the tape, Motl-Shotchen, a matchmaker from God: as a true mediator between people and worlds, he walks from village to village, from house to house, creating love, creating harmony of human fates. Motl believes in and serves his life with all his soul. But here, the System, and with it war, inevitably breaks into the world of Zinks. The idyllic life of the town has collapsed, and with it – the life of Motl, who lost his loved ones. Having lost his world, he abandons both faith and service. But life and love are more powerful than war and death: Motla is supported by all those whom he has helped, and gradually he returns to life.

The film tells the story of secured "major" friends who face the problem of "entertainment crisis". Nothing in life pleases. The crisis is obvious, and friends agree on the following (the rules affect only the two of them): once a week (Wednesday), they set each other a task that the other must accomplish, no matter how strange, senseless, cruel, or "impossible" the task was. The roles change next week. The only limitation of the contract is that the task does not carry a clear risk to life and has no criminal consequences (although after some time they sweep away and this restriction).

Week after week, the world around and within the characters changes. Instead of simple "major" entertainment, friends are faced with a fantastic expanding attraction. The joy of life flows into the souls of heroes. The drama ends with a fantastic "happy end", creating on its way "parallel worlds" and revealing the hidden possibilities of the individual and human relations in general.
